Custom Sewing for Dance Costumes & More

Debbie was born in Scotland and raised in Ireland. She is the oldest of ten children and her mother made most of their clothes growing up. Debbie helped her mother sew as a pastime. Debbie started doing home interior decorating, drapes, valances, etc. This lead to include more challenging projects, such as wedding gowns and formal wear for special occasions. Her daughters started Irish step dancing lessons and she made their first dresses and Celtic Stitches began!

She creates dance costumes for many schools. Among them are O'Hares School of Irish Dance, Heinzmans School of Irish Dance, Donohues School of Dance, Dancin' Feet School of Gaelic Dance..she has since added Tir Na N'Og Gaelic Dancers.

Her work is very unique, you name it, and she will create it. Show her a picture or just give her an idea and she will design a creative work of art just for you. She believes in tradition, but a piece of you must be in the Celtic art that she designs. Especially with the championship dresses she has created, each one tells a story about the person that is wearing it. Most of her pieces are original.

She has branched out and now she is making Christening, Communion, and Wedding dresses with Celtic embroidery. Christmas tree skirts and Family Tree banners with the family coat of arms, family names with Celtic knotwork are popular gifts for Christmas, weddings, and grandparents.

See her pricing section for instructions on how to order.
